UI Employment Expo
Student Help Guide
To Register
Alumni: Please call the Pomerantz Career Center at 319-335-1023 for access to UI Employment Expo.
Current Students (except for MBA):
1.) Complete and submit your online profile. Log onto Employment Expo and select
"Click here to register".
2.) Complete an online activation session. Select the Online Activation Session link from the main UI Employment Expo page.
Your account will be activated within two business days of completing a session. Once your account is activated, you will be able to upload/submit your resume, search for jobs and internships, and request on-campus interviews.
Fees
Alumni: There is a $20 annual fee. This fee can be paid with either a check or credit card. Alumni Association members receive free access to the system.
Current Students (except for MBA): There is a one time fee of $32 which will be charged to your u-bill. This fee allows you to use the system through six months past your graduation date.
There is no charge to sign up for a Mock Interview only or to Register an Internship only, but it is to your advantage to sign up for all features of the system if you will be looking for an internship or full-time job at some point.
No refunds are available whether the services are used or not. These fees are subject to change.
Directions and parking
From Interstate 80:
- Take the Dubuque Street exit (Exit 244).
- Go south on Dubuque Street to Church Street.
- Turn right on Church Street. Follow it as it curves into Clinton Street.
- Continue south on Clinton Street to the stoplight at Market Street.
- Turn right onto Market Street, and go to the bottom of the hill, where you will come to a "T" intersection. (Watch for the sign on your left indicating whether the IMU Ramp is full.)
- Turn left onto Madison Street and stay in the left lane.
- Take an immediate left into the IMU Ramp.
- Parking Rates
If the sign on Market Street says the IMU ramp is FULL (except for employers attending the fair-you may still park in the ramp if it says FULL):
- Turn right instead of left at the "T" intersection (at Madison Street).
- Go two blocks north to the North Campus Parking Ramp (this ramp is not visible from the street until you reach the end of Madison Street).

If both UI parking ramps are full:
- Turn around and head south on Madison Street until you get to the stoplight at Burlington Street.
- Turn left on Burlington and head up the hill.
- There will be two city-owned parking ramps on your left on Burlington Street: One is at the intersection with Clinton Street and one is at the intersection with Dubuque Street.

From the IMU Parking Ramp, use the elevator in the ramp and exit to the east on the fourth floor.
- Turn left (north) onto the Cleary Walkway.
- Walk until you reach the first intersection, which is Market Street.
- The Pomerantz Center is on the northeast corner of Market Street and the Cleary Walkway.
From the North Campus Parking Ramp, use the elevator in the ramp and exit to the east on the fifth floor.
- Turn right (south) onto the Cleary Walkway.
- Continue south on the Cleary Walkway until Market Street.
- The Pomerantz Center is on the northeast corner of Market Street and the Cleary Walkway.
