Experience Iowa Internship Program

The Experience Iowa Internship Program

The purpose of this program is to bring University of Iowa students and non-profit Iowa organizations together by providing a special opportunity for students to work as paid interns. The program provides a stipend which covers approximately one-half of the funding for the intern's salary.

EMPLOYERS
To post an Experience Iowa position:

Create an account with our online recruiting system - HireaHawk.com. First you will need to create a profile and then post the internship opportunity (under My Jobs, Add a New Job from the top menu). Be sure to indicate that this is an Experience Iowa opportunity in the appropriate drop down.

STUDENTS
To be eligible, students must:
- Be an undergraduate of at least sophomore status and enrolled full-time at UI
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
- Be an Iowa resident
- Show financial need (be work-study eligible - for example)

Once an employer has confirmed that they would like to hire you for the position, please call 319-335-1023 to schedule an appointment with Jim Seyfer to complete the internship registration process.
