How to Make the Fair Work For You

Stop by this 30 minute session to learn about the fair and how you can make the most of it. Tips will be provided on how to dress, and how to approach, interact with and follow-up with employers.

Tuesday, February 19
Mock Interviews with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources
This is a great opportunity to improve your interviewing skills! Sign up through UI Employment Expo for a practice interview.

Wednesday, February 20
Health, Science and Biotech Fair
Noon-4 p.m.
C310 Pomerantz Center
Employers Attending

Come and meet with employers with available internship and full-time employment opportunities. Bring copies of your resume and dress professionally. Stop by the Pomerantz Career Center, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm to have your resume reviewed prior to the fair.

If you have an account with Expo, log-in and go to "On-Campus Interviews, "Qualified Interviews" to request interviews from employers who are staying to interview the day after the fair. Many employers will also schedule interviews when they talk with you during the fair. You can also "submit/drop" your resume as a pre-event contact on Expo by searching for "Health, Science and Biotech Fair" under the "Career Events" tab. (Deadline: Feb. 13).
