The Career Leadership Academy gives you a chance to explore your personal leadership style and develop your employment skills in a variety of exciting settings. Career Leadership Academy students will be able to participate in:
Career Leadership Seminar: A weekly 80 minute seminar (meets for 10 weeks) where you will discuss leadership and employee development, make connections with your peers and employers, learn from guest speakers, participate in hands-on activities, develop skills, and reflect on your own personal career journey.
Leaders Live Program: A program that affords you the opportunity to meet top leaders in the working world and ask the questions you want to know in a casual dining setting. Academy students will be asked to attend one luncheon event per semester.
Service Project: All Career Leadership Academy students will collaborate in a service project, taking the initiative in deciding where and how you will give back to your community over the course of the 4-semesters.
Leadership Portfolio: A key component of the Career Leadership Academy is the Leadership Portfolio; a virtual space where you can reflect and write about your career and leadership aspirations, blog about your career journey, and log pertinent career information such as resumes, network contact information, etc.
Students that complete all four semesters of the Career Leadership Academy will be rewarded with the following:
Academic credit: Each semester of the 4-semester program is worth 1 academic credit
Transcript notification: On completion of all 4 semesters of the Career Leadership Academy program, graduates will receive a notification on their official transcripts
Exclusive Opportunities: Career Leadership Academy students will have access to career exploration opportunities, networking events, and leadership opportunities that are certain to catapult your career
Skills: Graduates of the Career Leadership Academy will gain the employment and leadership skills that today’s employers are seeking!
