What Can I Do With a Major in... Communication Studies

A major in communication studies can prepare students for a wide variety of careers in many different areas.  To prepare for this wide array of career options, students in this major will learn about everything from the practice of communication across many settings and with diverse populations, to the study of different types of media and their histories, to rhetoric and the art of persuasion.  Students are also encouraged to get involved in hands-on experiences in the field of communication during their undergraduate studies to prepare them for employment in the professional work world.
