PARENTS Create an internship
Create an internship at your organization to provide a valuable experience for a University of Iowa student. Internships are an excellent way for students to gain real-world experience as well as provide an organization with added staffing for a semester. An internship can be part-time or full-time, paid or unpaid, and must occupy at least one semester that is ten weeks in duration. The experience must be made up of 80% professional work and have continuous supervision from a professional in the field. The Pomerantz Career Center offers a program to new emerging Iowa companies, Experience Iowa , where up to one half of the student's wage during his or her internship is paid for by the Pomerantz Career Center. For more information, contact James Seyfer at 319-335-1023.
