STUDENTS Volunteering and Job Shadowing

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to help an organization or people within a community; however, it is also a great opportunity for students to explore career areas of interest. Volunteer experiences allow students to get involved with an organization and its services, helping them to identify characteristics of a job they find rewarding, so they can make strategic decisions about what they want from their career. Volunteer experiences can be an extended commitment or even a short commitment of only one day, allowing the student to get involved at a level that works with his or her demanding schedule. Below are some resources for finding volunteer experiences:

To search for volunteer opportunities, please visit the Civic Engagement Website.
The Civic Engagement Program (CEP) provides a number of services to help you make connections in the local community and beyond. Don’t wait, get started and begin making a difference!

Would you like to volunteer but don’t know where or how to start looking for opportunities? Complete our Volunteer Interest Profile form indicating your interests and we'll get back to you to offer resources and guidance on how you can get involved and make a difference.

See if your volunteer experience qualifies as an Internship.
