STUDENTS Pearson Career Library

The Pearson Library houses over 500 books on various career related topics. There are 12 computer stations available for student use and a study area with tables/chairs that can accommodate up to 30 students. Although books cannot be checked out, there is a photocopier available for student use.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm

Location: Pomerantz Career Center (3rd Floor of the Pomerantz Center) (map).

Getting Started — 4 Strategies

  1. Look at books on your MAJOR and find jobs or careers connected to what you are studying.
  2. Look at CAREERS or ENVIRONMENTS that sound interesting (ex., advertising, sports, stock market).
  3. Look at YOURSELF and find books related to your traits or interests (ex., jobs for leaders, creative types).
  4. If you already have a career plan, look at books to help you gain EXPERIENCE and SKILLS.
