Career Peer Advisors are available to help you develop or improve your current resume, cover letter and Handshake profile so you're ready to start connecting with employers.

The Pomerantz Career Center Peer Advisor Program serves as a way for undergraduate UI students to receive high-quality career tips and guidance from their peers.

Career Peers Advisors can help you by:

  • Reviewing your resumes and cover letters or providing information on how to get started 

  • Preparing with you for networking events and Job & Internship Fairs

  • Helping you to set up and maximize your Handshake and LinkedIn profiles

  • Assisting with job and internship searches and providing interview tips & practice 

  • Supplying information on Pomerantz Career Center programs, services and resources

  • Answering general career-related questions

  • Presenting on career-related topics to your student organization or class

I love to read and crochet, and whenever I am stressed, you can always find me baking something. I also have a cat named Yennifer, and my favorite thing to do is talk about her.

I am majoring in Nursing with hopes to go to graduate school to obtain my DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice). I will work as a nurse practitioner with emphasis in either women's health or oncology. After I get my DNP, I want to get my CRNA (certified registered nurse anesthetist) certification and work with patients undergoing surgical procedures.

I love to play pickleball, run, and watch the Houston Astros. A fun fact about me is that I can play the ukulele.

After completing my undergraduate degrees, I plan to pursue a career in human resources and possibly attend graduate school. Career Goals
I will be working for Cottingham & Butler after graduating this summer and I couldn’t be more excited. I hope to become very successful within the company due to my work ethic, and ability to form important and meaningful connections. I plan to utilize much of my salary to invest in real estate until I have enough capital to invest in private equity.

Hobbies/Fun Facts 
I served 5 years in the United States Marine Corps where I was fortunate enough to live in Okinawa, Japan for roughly 4 years. Now I live at home with my two Dobermans Freya and Juno in North Liberty. I am a huge motorcycle enthusiast. In my free time I like to go for motorcycle rides, spend time with my dogs, and play video games.
